✨ Smudge Fan Workshop 

Join your host Tash at AURUM, Temple of Frequency in Sleaford, for an intimate evening of spiritual crafting, meditation and creative connection.

Held on 3 dates for 2026, this workshop invites you to slow down, reconnect with your intuition, and create your own ceremonial horn and feather smudge fan using natural materials.

This is a smaller, more personal workshop with only 6 spaces available. Rather than large groups, AURUM workshops are being created to feel calm, connected and spacious, giving you more guidance, more time, and a deeper experience. And sometimes 30 of you in one go, is hard to keep up with! 🫣

What is a Smudge Fan?

A smudge fan is a ceremonial tool traditionally used to gently move smoke, scent, air and intention through a space.

It can be used alongside cleansing practices, meditation, sacred space setting, altar work, energy clearing, or simply kept as a beautiful spiritual artwork within your home.

Your fan will be created with natural feathers, horn and various adornments, making each piece completely unique to the person who creates it. 
You may add fur and/or leather too.

What to Expect:

1️⃣ Guided Meditation for Connection & Creativity

We’ll begin with a guided meditation to help you ground, soften and connect with your creative energy and the elements at your disposal. This meditation will be designed to support intuition, intention setting and inner connection before you begin crafting.

The aim is to help you create from feeling, not overthinking, allowing your fan to become something personal, meaningful and aligned with you.

Approx 20-30 minutes 

2️⃣ Create Your Own Ceremonial Smudge Fan

You’ll then be guided through the process of creation.

You’ll be able to choose from feathers, horn pieces, crystals and decorative elements to create a piece that feels completely your own.

This is a hands-on creative process, but you don’t need to be “crafty” to join. You’ll be supported throughout and half the magic is in letting it unfold without needing it to be perfect.

Approx 2-2.15 hours

3️⃣ Sweet Treats & Connection

There will be sweet treats, time to pause, chat, connect and admire everyone’s creations.

Because obviously crafting is better with snacks. 🤣

You don’t need any previous experience.

Whether you’re creating a fan for your own cleansing practice, meditation space, altar, healing room, or as a meaningful piece of spiritual artwork, this evening is designed to be soulful, relaxed and deeply personal.

Please note:

AURUM is upstairs and unfortunately we are not wheelchair accessible. There are 13 steps up to the premises, with a banister, grip tape, and deep/wide steps.

Do I Need To Bring Anything?

Everything you need to create your fan will be provided.

You may wish to bring a notebook if you’d like to write down any intentions, reflections or inspiration from the meditation, but this is optional.

Comfortable clothing is recommended.

Something to help keep you comfortable for your meditation if needed, but cushions, mats and blankets are provided.
