Trauma Release Breathwork
Adult Only Session at AURUM

For the ones who feel like they’ve been holding it all together for far too long.

This is a deeper breathwork session created for emotional release, nervous system support and coming back home to yourself. It is very different to the beginner sessions. However, as this is fully guided, it does not mean you need to have attended a beginner session in order to take part.

Trauma, stress, grief, overwhelm and old emotional weight don’t always sit politely in the mind. It lives in the body. They live in the shoulders, the chest, the belly, the jaw, the breath, the nervous system and you don’t even realise how much you’ve been carrying until your body finally gets a safe moment to soften. 

These sessions are not about forcing a dramatic breakthrough. They're not about digging through your past. It is not about sharing your story with a room full of people, regardless if others are around you. Of course if this is something that you are uncomfortable with, 1-2-1 sessions are available.

There is no need for you to explain what happened. You are performing and nor to be need to be 'good' at breathwork.

You just need to arrive as you are, breathe, and let the body do what it is ready to do.

What is Trauma Release Breathwork?

This session uses guided conscious breathing, grounding, gentle somatic movement, meditation and stillness to support the body in releasing held emotion, tension and heaviness.

Every person will experience something different. Sometimes that looks like tears, deep rest, tingling, warmth, shaking, sighing, memories, anger, softness, peace or absolutely nothing dramatic at all. Sometimes numbness. I will talk through with you about recognising these changes and the importance of this recognition whilst in these deeper breath states of consciousness.

All of it is welcome.

There is no right way to release. Your body is not on a timer and your nervous system does not need to win a gold star. Although sometimes it's nice to get one of those!

How This Work Can Feel

Some people may feel a shift straight away. For some, one session can bring an immediate sense of release, clarity, lightness, calm or emotional relief, especially if the body is ready to let go of something that has been sitting close to the surface. This could be a more recent trauma.

For deeper, long-term or more ingrained trauma, especially things that have been carried for many years or experienced repeatedly, it may take more time and more than one session. The constant emotional damage from a narcissistic parent/relationship, multiple accounts of childhood abuse etc.

The body often releases in layers, and it is important that this process is gentle, safe and not forced.

You do not choose with your thinking mind what you are going to “work on” first.

Instead, this session invites you to step out of overthinking and allow the body, breath and nervous system to guide the process. Your body may take you to an emotion, memory, feeling, sensation or theme that is ready to be seen, softened or released. It can be completely unexpected. Something that you didn't think had much of a hold on you.

The aim is not to dig, force, relive or analyse. Although, this can happen in order to address it.

The aim is to create a safe enough space for your body and mind to show you what they are ready to address first.


About Me

This session is held by Tash at AURUM, Temple of Frequency.

Alongside my holistic training and retreat work, I have studied psychology up to PGCE level, which really shapes the way I hold space, with emotional awareness, grounding, care and respect for what each person may be carrying. I provide the bridge between science and spirituality. I prefer smaller group sessions in order to ensure duty of care.

What to Expect

We will begin gently. No one is being thrown into the deep end like a traumatised little mermaid.

There will be time to settle, understand the breathwork, ask questions and know exactly what to expect before we begin.

You will be sat on the floor of the salt room on cushions. Upright to begin whilst I demonstrate the techniques we will use. Then the rest of the session will be laying down with eye masks to shut out brightness.

Can be catered to a chair, if there is physical difficulties with getting to the ground, or I am happy to assist.

The session includes:

Grounding
Intention setting
Gentle somatic movement
Guided trauma release breathwork, with a little drumming for rhythm
Space for emotional release
Meditation
Stillness
Integration time afterwards
A grounding drink before you leave

You are in control throughout.

You can slow down, pause, rest, stop, or simply lie there if that is what your bosy needs. Please follow instruction but also please listen to your body. Take a break if you need to.

There is a maximum of 4 participants and through guided meditation and breathwork focus, you will switch off from the others around you. There is no judgment here.

I create a safe enough space for the body to begin letting go.

Who is This For?

This session is for adults only, 18+.

Burnt out
Stuck in survival mode
Disconnected from your body
Overstimulated
Tense or unable to fully relax
Ready to release old emotional weight
In need of a safe space to soften
Curious about deeper breathwork

You do not need previous breathwork experience, but this is a deeper emotional release session, so please only book if it feels right for you.

If you are brand new and feeling nervous, you may prefer to start with a beginner breathwork session or message me first.


Adult Only

This session is strictly adult only due to the emotional nature of the work.

Trauma release breathwork can bring emotions, memories, sensations and inner experiences to the surface, so this space is only suitable for those aged 18+.

Please Read Before Booking

This is a supportive wellbeing session and is not a replacement for medical care, counselling, psychotherapy, psychiatric care, trauma therapy, medication or emergency support.

This session may not be suitable if you are currently in crisis, feeling emotionally unsafe, or experiencing severe mental health instability.

Please message before booking if you are pregnant, have epilepsy, seizures, serious heart conditions, uncontrolled high blood pressure, recent surgery, severe asthma, respiratory conditions, fainting episodes, bipolar disorder, psychosis, schizophrenia, highly active PTSD, or any medical or mental health condition you feel I should know about.

There is no judgement at all, I just need to make sure the space is right and safe for you.

A yoga mat (but not essential)
Blanket (again not essential but you may have something that you would feel more comfortable with of your own)
Pillow
Water bottle
Journal if you want to write afterwards
Anything comforting you may want nearby for additional support

Large grey building, opposite John Pete Motors. Parking by the front of the road. Head down the side of the building, alongside the wire fence line, adjacent to the car wash. You'll see an open door leading into a white corridor.
